Elementary Math
GRADES- 3RD THROUGH 5TH Elementary Math is designed for students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. The focus will be building a strong foundation in math through conceptual understanding to help students learn the how's and why's behind the math conepts we cover. We are using Math Mammoth, Grade 4 Curriculum. Through Math Mammoth's mastery-oriented approach, students will develop essential skills in mental math and number sense, empowering them to tackle math problems with confidence and ease. In the fourth grade curriculum, students will dive into multi-digit multiplication and division, explore the world of fractions and decimals, geometry, measurements, and tackle multi-step word problems that require critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Weekly class covers 3-5 lessons. Homework must be completed & graded by parent at home. CLASS TIME: We meet twice a week. Class 1(our main day) is Mondays in person at DCHE. Class 2 (may be online) will be decided based on class availability by the 3rd week of class. Class 2 is for further review, and homework help and is NOT mandatory.
