Annual Social Studies Fair - February 21, 2024 ✓
DESCRIPTION: The annual Social Studies Fair provides an opportunity for students to identify the cause and effect of historical events; and the role of key people and places. Black History topics/figures are encouraged in honor of Black History Month. Students are also encouraged to dress up as the character/topic they're presenting. God created our world and those who inhabit it. He is sovereign over them. He has ordained specific institutions such as government and family. The purpose of social studies is to foster a love for God, for our country, and a respect for other cultures in the world He created. It enables students to understand the world around them and how they relate to it. The study of the history, geography, economics, and social structures of the world establishes the foundation of responsible citizenship in society. Projects may be entered by individual students or by groups of students. COST: Non-DCHE members are welcome to join us. The fee is $10 per project entry for non-members. Please submit the fee via PayPal at dcheeducators@gmail.com. |
