DESCRIPTION: The Georgia Capitol Tour & Museum is a comprehensive tour provides visitors with an introduction of the principles of democratic government in Georgia. Through an interactive discussion (with student groups) the guide will help visitors learn about democracy and representative government. Guided Tours of the Georgia State Capitol discuss Georgia history, Capitol Building history and architecture, as well as Georgia government. We explore the second floor of the Capitol beginning in the Rotunda, and end on the fourth floor in either the museum or the Public Gallery of the House of Representatives or Senate.  Guests, both guided and self-guided may expect to be in the building roughly 1 hour and 45 minutes.  During the tour your guide will describe the history of Georgia’s capitals, point out unique features of this building, recognize important figures from Georgia history, and provide fun facts about Georgia.
