Intermediate Strings Ensemble(4th-12th)
DESCRIPTION: The Intermediate Strings Ensemble This class is for students with prior ensemble experience on the Violin, Viola, Cello, and String Bass. Students should be knowledgeable of basic foundations and have some experience with different stylistic elements of string playing. In this course, students will: 1) reinforce beginning ensemble skills, 2) develop varying styles of bowing, 3) achieve proficiency in scales up to 3 sharps and 3 flats, and 4) Perform a varied repertoire GMEA level 3. This course is taught by Dr. Lana Teko, freelance violist and teacher in the metropolitan Atlanta area who holds Bachelor's Degree in Music Education at Florida State University, a Masters of Music in Viola Performance at Georgia State University and a Doctors of Musical Arts in Viola Performance at the University of Alabama.
